THE COMPANY
Timberline is a family-owned manufacturing company formed in the 1990's. Tony and Judy started the business when Judy started a nursery school and had difficulty in tracking down suitable outdoor play equipment. Tony decided to get involved in the manufacture of suitable equipment and there has been no turning back. He has been joined in the business by sons Simon and Richard. The influence of the nursery's needs are strongly reflected in the range of products developed.
The entire product range is manufactured at the Timberline factory in Chesterfield, Derbyshire using quality, pressure treated timber. This quality treated timber is guaranteed for 15 years. Every product in the Timberline range is in response to discussions between staff and customers, finding out what they want, developing the idea and "delivering the goods" Manufacturing and installation conform to European Standards EN1176 and EN1177.

THE PRODUCTS
Timberline produce a wide range of multi-functional equipment suitable for use in schools, nurseries, public play areas and commercial settings including hotels and restaurants. The equipment designed for use in schools and nurseries can qualify for funding from a variety of sources. These sources have been listed for your information.

Transform your playground with Timberline
An important aspect of Timberline play products is a strong emphasis on "imaginative play". Rather than simply provide a set of swings and a slide Timberline encourages exercise by installing the equipment in a setting that in a childs imagination can be anything from a castle to a lookout tower or a boat. The exercise becomes fun rather than simply exercise.
Adventure Trails
The Adventure Trail can be used either in a school playground or public play area. The equipment can be chosen in a "pick and mix" situation to meet the needs of the individual requirements or budget. An Adventure Trail in a school playground adds a new dimension to play and encourages exercise in a fun and challenging format. An Adventure Trail with a wet pour safety surface can change a sterile area of tarmac playground into a valuable play asset. The adventure trails are expected to be used by all ages and are constructed with rigorous use by teenagers and young adults in mind! Most areas can be converted or adapted to take an Adventure Trail.

Play Systems
Timberline offer a wide range of play systems in a variety of formats to suit age ranges from toddlers to teenagers. They are designed to stimulate both imaginative play and exercise. The equipment for toddlers is especially suited to small areas and is designed to maximise the range of exercises available. The Karenna illustrated is suitable for nurseries and shows how a simple play area can be enhanced to provide multi skill play facilities.
Before After

The Karenna has turned a simple run around area into a play area where the nursery pupil can experience climbing and sliding to improve their balance and co-ordination while having loads of fun. The Karenna, Duenna and Trienna are available in three different heights to suit a wide range of nursery/school requirements. The combination of equipment available can be tailored to suit an individual nursery/school needs. For example a special school we were supplying considered the motor skills required to use the "fireman's pole" was beyond some of their pupils and a second slide replaced the pole.
Highlander and Jumbolander systems
The Highlander and its larger system the Jumbolander are designed for use by older children and provide a variety of different exercises in a challenging and imaginative set up. Ideal for playgrounds, hotels, public play areas, farm shops and tourist areas
