Make a Peacock Mosaic

Photocopy the image below and glue onto circles of card or thick paper as a base. Blank out the smaller peacocks at the foot if you want a simpler image. Click on the photo of the peacock (bottom of page) to view the colours of a real bird.

Make the quills of the feathers from thin strips of silver-grey PlayMais. Add strips of green, blue and orange to make the feather ends. Cut circular slices from blue PlayMais bricks and overlap them to fill in the body. Use strips of green and blue for the wings, outlining the wings in blue. Make the neck and head in blue with the beak in white. Make small circles of white for the eyes and draw in a large black pupil with felt tip pen.
